Mrs. Nicholas Blake Colvard DANA CUBBAGE WEDDINGS 2014

Megan Laurel Mittelstadt and Nicholas Blake Colvard, both of Boston, Massachusetts, were wed on May 31, 2014 at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

The reception was held at Dunes West Golf and River Club.

The bride is the daughter of Nancy and Carl Mittelstadt of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Mittelstadt and Mrs. Anne Cummings. The groom is the son of Pamela and Stephen Colvard of Santa Paula, California and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Colvard and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wallace.

The bride received her B.S. in biology and Ph.D. in molecular, cellular and developmental biology from the University of South Carolina.

She is currently employed at Harvard Medical School as a lecturer of genetics.

The groom received his B.S. in marine biology from the University of California, his M.S. in biology from California State University.He is currently employed as a research assistant at Northeastern University, pursuing a Ph.D. in ecology, evolution and marine biology.

Emily Jones Wilkinson was the matron of honor.The bridesmaids were Sarah Miles Childers, Beaumont Siron Palmer and the groom’s sister Ashley Brooke Colvard.

The bride’s cousin Tessa Marie Mittelstadt served as flower girl. Jacob Davis Dilbeck, the groom’s cousin, was the best man and the groomsmen were Eric William Wilkinson and the bride’s brother Patrick Clark Mittelstadt. The bride’s cousin Jackson Brandt Mittelstadt served as ring bearer.

After a honeymoon trip to Greece, the couple will reside in Boston, Massachusetts.
