Belle Hall teacher receives tech honor

Timothy Tanner and Emily Elliot, educational technology specialists, and Kevin Conklin, principal of Belle Hall Elementary, presented the award to Mrs. Gibbs on May 21. PROVIDED

The Charleston County School District (CCSD) Department of Educational Technology honors one teacher each month for implementing innovative technology to promote 21st century skills and engage their students.

Teachers are nominated monthly by fellow administrators and colleagues.

On May 21, Erin Gibbs of Belle Hall Elementary received the award for integrating research skills into all grade-level projects and be the first line of technology support for Belle Hall.

Mrs. Gibbs ensures that all students have the opportunity to delve deeper into their content and her efforts have resulted in positive student achievement.
