Weekend Blotter – Name calling

  • Monday, June 9, 2014

Police received a call from a woman who claimed that someone posted something negative about her on Facebook.

She said she was at a local bar with two friends and another girl came over and joined them. According to the report, the victim and her friends bought drinks for the person who joined them and the evening went without incident.

Twenty-four hours later, the victim said she got a call about this person’s Facebook page that allegedly had negative things about the victim on it.

She could not see the suspect’s page because they are not friends on Facebook. But she did allegedly receive a private message from the suspect that read, “wait until I get you out.”

The victim told police she was not sure what to make of that, but she took it as a threat. She worried her business reputation could be damaged because of the bad things posted and she wanted it taken down or for it not to happen again.

Police said they would look into it.
