Weekend Blotter – Rage against the car

  • Monday, June 9, 2014

Police were working a school event when they received a call over the radio regarding a disturbance in the car line that was exiting the facility. Upon arriving at the location, they found a man restraining a juvenile inside the car, the report said.

According to the report, the kid in the car became agitated because the line of cars was taking so long to move along. To release that frustration, he kicked the car windshield.

Police spoke with the father who said he just needed help calming the individual down. According to the report, officers spoke with the juvenile and calmed him down. Going further, they escorted the juvenile home, followed by his father, so they could continue to talk to him and calm him further. This seemed to work and the incident was resolved.
