New STEM programs for kids

Junior Girls Day Out Community Project is taking its STEM program to another level this year by launching a new series of program events to enrich students in science, technology, engineering and math. They will be sponsoring Junior GEMS mini camps; STEM expos; Best Buy's Geek Squad Academy; Women and Girls Engineering Mentoring Career events; computer training classes; Scientists and Girls Laboratory; mathematics, economics and more. The first summer STEM expo which will be held Thursday, June 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in James Island Charter High Cafeteria.
