Charleston County Government’s Contracts and Procurement Department announces a free South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Unified Certification Program (UCP) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) workshop for minority and small-business owners. The workshop will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, in Room B-339 of the county’s Lonnie Hamilton, III Public Services Building located at 4045 Bridge View Drive in North Charleston.
The presenters for the workshop are Gary Linn, SCDOT Small Business Enterprise Program and Compliance supervisor, and Holly Chesser with Charleston County’s Small Business Enterprise Program. Space is limited, so those interested in attending the free workshop are encouraged to register in advance online at www.charlestoncounty.org/departments/Procurement/index.htm.
“The workshops will provide an outstanding opportunity for firms to learn about the UCP and SBE process and how to increase their competitiveness in a complex market,” said Charleston County Contracts and Procurement Director Barrett Tolbert.
The workshop is hosted by Charleston County Contracts and Procurement Department’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and Small Business Enterprise programs. For more information, contact Charleston County Contracts and Procurement Department at 843-958-4750.
