Mayor Page and some of the town council will be at Shelmore Village on Thursday, July 24 at 10 a.m. for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the site’s grand reopening.
Shelmore Village is now 40 businesses strong, with 90 percent of those being new additions. They have shops, salons, attorneys, printers, cell phone repairs, chiropractors, interior design shops and more.
Shelmore Village also will introduce their “it takes a village to save $$$” cards. They are $5 each and will provide the user with discounts for a year at most of the shops in Shelmore. All of the money from the sale of these cards will be donated to Camp Rise Above, a camp for children with cancer which is seeking land in Mount Pleasant to build another of these camps.
Shelmore Village will host Lowcountry Fun Foods during the event, but each shop will offer refreshments, host giveaways and raffles, and offer grand opening promotions.
