Weekend Blotter – Soon to be famous

  • Monday, June 16, 2014

According to a police report, a homeless man went into a restaurant, ordered and ate, but then refused to pay. Naturally, the owners called police.

The owner told the officer he did not want to press charges but did want the man placed on trespass notice.

The officer noticed that the suspect resembled a similar suspect from another incident just like this one.

The officer asked the man if he had eaten without paying and he said he had. When asked if he had any money, he told the officer he could not pay because he did not have his “black card.”

He went on to say that he is homeless, but soon to be famous and had just come back from Las Vegas.

The officers offered to take him downtown to the shelter, but he declined. He was warned that it is a crime to take food with the intention of not paying. The man left the scene on foot.
