Palmetto Goodwill offers mobile and on-site secure data destruction service

  • Monday, June 16, 2014

Palmetto Goodwill, through their ComputerWorks center, offers a mobile and on-site secure data destruction service that properly destroys any data and ensures proper recycling of unwanted computer equipment.

ComputerWorks utilizes YEC International Ltd. Disk Recycling product Geisha Y-1712 and Darik's Boot and Nuke, also known as DBAN that incorporates the DOD 5220.22-M data sanitization method to over write existing information on a hard drive.

The use of this machine and software ensures Goodwill ComputerWorks is in compliance with HIPPA, DOD5220.22M rules and regulations. We also provide a certificate of data destruction for every drive cleaned or destroyed for your records.

Also, any donated equipment donated that cannot be repurposed will be properly recycled through our Dell Reconnect program.

For more information about the Palmetto Goodwill ComputerWorks secure data destruction service or to schedule an appointment for your company, please contact Fred Brown at Fbrown@palmettogoodwill.org or call 843-797-1811.
