Local Charleston resident and College of Charleston graduate Arianna Megaro is proud to announce the final countdown in her company's Kickstarter campaign. Founded in 2013, BlokRok has quickly turned from an idea and a dream into a tangible and production-ready device that sunbathers everywhere can enjoy.
BlokRok is the first practical and easy-to-use alternative sunscreen and lotion applicator of its kind in the consumer market. After years of research, several designs and countless improvements, the BlokRok is finally ready for commercial production. Like any entrepreneur, Megaro, a recent graduate, has poured countless dollars into her project for the necessary prototypes, patent claims and branding to make this a success and market-ready brand. Now, she needs the community's help to bring this dream to reality.
The BlokRok Kickstarter campaign to date has raised more than $12,000 of its $45,000 goal necessary to take the BlokRok prototype to production. Per Kickstarter guidelines, BlokRok must reach its goal by the first day of summer, June 21, to be entitled to any of the funds raised.
