Dunes Properties is pleased to announce that with their newest addition of real estate agent Judy Fairchild, they will be expanding their areas of expertise to include Dewees Island. Judy will be joining the sales team at the Isle of Palms office at 1400 Palm Blvd.
Dunes Properties currently has knowledgeable, professional agents in all areas of the Charleston Coast from Isle of Palms to Kiawah Island. Dewees Island is a unique side of Charleston that is rarely seen, making the inclusion of Dewees to Dunes Properties’ vast area of expertise that much more exciting. As a year-round resident of Dewees, Judy Fairchild has extensive knowledge of the ins and outs of the island.

Anthony Detyens Doar recently joined Century 21 Properties Plus. Tony brings more than 17 years of real estate and facility management experience, having worked with such firms as CBRE, Iron Mountain and Comcast. He has a BA in communications from Pacific University and his certification in facility management (CFM) from Northeastern. Tony will work out of Century 21’s Mt. Pleasant office.
High Wire Distilling Co.
Three top, national spirit organizations have recently awarded High Wire Distilling Co. medals of distinction for their spirits. High Wire is the only Charleston-based distillery selected in these competitions.
During their inaugural convention in Denver, Colorado, the American Craft Distillers Association presented High Wire Distilling Co. bronze medals for their Hat Trick Botanical Gin and Quarter Acre Sorghum Whiskey in the gin and whiskey categories. The 2014 ACDA Awards mark the first major spirits competition conducted by craft distillers for craft distillers. More than 300 spirits were entered into the competition with only a little over 100 of them receiving medals.
At the 2014 San Francisco World Spirits Competition held March 20-23, High Wire Distilling Co. received a bronze medal for their Hat Trick Botanical Gin. Lastly, the American Distilling Institute, the oldest and largest membership organization of small-batch, independently owned distilleries, awarded High Wire Distilling three awards. Their Hat Trick Botanical Gin won a Bronze medal in the Contemporary Gin category as well as a Bronze in Excellence In Packaging. Their Quarter Acre Sorghum Whiskey also received a bronze medal for the Alternative Whiskey category.
Charleston School of Law
Attorney Susan McDonald Gaddy has been named an adjunct professor in foreclosure law at the Charleston School of Law. She will teach South Carolina foreclosure law during this maymester.
Susan brings with her 22 years of law experience and is a certified court mediator. For the past 15 years, she has owned the Gaddy Law Firm, LLC. in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She concentrates on business law and all facets of real estate litigation with a focus on distressed properties within her practice.
A local family-owned French bistro is now open in Mount Pleasant. Located in Towne Centre, Annie’s Bistro is open everyday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and reopens for dinner at 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The French bistro has a daily lunch and dinner service that features wonderful arrangements from Chef Carole Robert.
