Charleston architect receives sustainability certification

June 19, 2014 - Brian Fessler, an architect with McMillan Pazdan Smith, recently received Green Globes Professional Certification, a sustainable building assessment and certification program developed by the Green Building Initiative.

Utilizing Green Globes principles result in more-energy efficient, healthier and environmentally sustainable buildings.

McMillan Pazdan Smith currently employs two of the 15 Certified Green Globes Professionals in South Carolina and has two registered Green Globes projects under construction, Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School for Greenville County Schools and Aiken Technical College's Center for Energy and Advanced Engineering Technology.

McMillan Pazdan Smith operates five community-centered offices in the Southeast- Greenville, Spartanburg, and Charleston, S.C., Asheville, N.C., and Atlanta, GA. Expertise includes master planning, architecture, and interior design services.
