Police Blotter – My old lady

Police were called to a gas station parking lot because a man allegedly hit a woman during an argument.

When police arrived, they witnessed the car pulling out of the lot, the report said. They followed the car and conducted a traffic stop. According to the report, as soon as the driver rolled down the window, they could smell the odor of marijuana in the car and saw that six people were crammed into the car.

They told the driver the reason for the stop and he said he got into an argument with his “old lady” but never hit her, the report said.

In the meantime, the other people in the car were identified. According to the report, one passenger was lying down in the cargo area of the car drinking a cold beer.

They said they were on the way to the beach.

One of the girls said she got into an argument with the driver over money and getting to the beach, the report said.

There was no evidence found to back up the claim of anyone begin hit, but according to the report, officers did find a bag of pot in the car.

Charges were issued for the open container and possession.
