Bar Association to hold community seminars

  • Thursday, June 26, 2014

The Charleston County Bar Association will host several community legal seminars this summer. Speakers will address those issues related to wills, mediation, lemon laws, real estate closings and eminent domain.

The talks will take place at the Charleston Public Library, located on Calhoun Street in downtown Charleston, and at Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach on Johns Island. “The purpose of these seminars is to educate the public about basic legal matters which affect them on a daily basis,” said Natalie Bluestein, president of the Charleston County Bar Association. “We encourage everyone who is facing legal issues related to these seminars to attend and learn more about what they can do to protect themselves. They are all free to the public, and there will be opportunities to ask questions.”

Topics to be discussed include bankruptcy basics, mediation, lemon laws and real estate closings.

For more information about the legal seminars, the Bar encourages people to visit the Charleston County Bar Association website at www.charlestoncountybar.org/community-seminars.shtml or send an email to president@charlestoncountybar.org.
