March for Babies raises more than $4,000

Select Health of South Carolina associates, led by the Medicaid managed care organization’s Bright Start prenatal program and Employee Activity Committee (EAC), rallied in support of the March of Dimes’ annual March for Babies, raising $2,160.95 to help prevent premature births, birth defects and infant mortality.

Internal fundraising activities included donations to participate in the company’s “Spirit Week,” the sale of T-shirts, baked goods and hotdogs as well as a “Purses for Premies” resale program. In addition, more than 60 Select Health “Walking Warriors” participated in the Charleston March for Babies. Matching funds from Select Health increased the donation to $4,321.90.
