Police Blotter – Neighborhood Watch

  • Friday, June 27, 2014

According to a police report, an argument broke out one afternoon when a couple approached the pool to find a dog inside the pool gate and a man drinking out of glass bottles.

The couple took it upon themselves to inform the man about the pool rules.

But this man allegedly became aggressive and at some point police were called.

When officers arrived, the suspect denied being aggressive but did admit to having his dog with him inside the pool area, the report said. The officer advised him of the DHEC issues that could arise by having the dog in the pool area and the consequences of broken glass on a pool deck. The suspect said he understood and would comply with the pool rules, the report said.

The couple was advised to take up issues such as these with their property management company or the after-hours courtesy officer who lives in their apartment complex rather than trying to enforce such issues themselves.
