According to a police report, an employee of a local restaurant got a little drunk one day and decided to help himself to meat and shrimp from the restaurant. He might have gotten away with it had he not been intoxicated, but he didn’t make it too far. Other employees found him passed out outside of the restaurant, holding on to the bag of food, the report said.
When police arrived, the man was slumped over leaning on a car. They tried to rouse him and he became uncooperative, the report said.
It was decided that he would be arrested for Breach of Trust and Public Intoxication.
According to the police report, upon looking at the man’s criminal history, his charge was upgraded to Property Crime Enhancement for prior convictions of receiving stolen goods and possession of a stolen vehicle.
According to the report, he was searched and subsequently charged for having a 5.2-gram bag of a rock-like substance believed to be drugs.
