Police Blotter - Take the long way home

An officer patrolling the Mount Pleasant side of I-526 saw a man strolling down the side of the interstate and stopped to see what he was up to.

The man carrying a backpack explained to police that he was walking to the gas station to get picked up by his employer so they could go to work.

The officer ran his license through the computer and it turns out he would not be going to work that day.

According to the report, there was a warranty for his arrest out of North Charleston.

While the subject was sitting on the side of the road waiting for the warrant conformation he told the officer he had a crack pipe in his pocket He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
