  • Sunday, July 6, 2014

A woman reported to police that she answered a secret shopper classified ad and applied for the job. She was hired and explained how the process worked.

About $9800 later, she learned it was a scam. She was supposed to spend the money asked of her, and complete an online survey of the store. She as then supposed to be reimbursed. But the reimbursement money was fraudulent. She gave police the name and contact information of the person she had been dealing with for the job as well as a check she had not deposited yet. The case is under investigation.
