East Cooper Medical Center has announced the name of its new medical office building which opens this summer. It will be the Mullis Building, in recognition of Danny Mullis, board chair for East Cooper Medical Center, for his soon-to-be 25 years of service and dedication to the hospital.
The new 42,000-square-foot medical office building is located at 851 Leonard Fulghum Blvd., adjacent to East Cooper Medical Center. With a completion date of mid-July, it will include physician practices with a focus on women's services and orthopedic services, as well as outpatient physical therapy and laboratory services.
“I am humbled beyond description to have my name on our new medical office building. However, this honor needs to be shared with many others: the associates, physicians and nurses, along with all of those who have served on the governing board, past and present. I cannot adequately express my deep appreciation for this touching recognition,” said Danny Mullis, board chair.
“As our hospital campus expands to accommodate our growing community and services, we look forward to the opening of the new Mullis Building later this summer. Danny Mullis epitomizes what it means to be a servant leader and it's an honor to be able to recognize him in this way,” added Jason Alexander, CEO of East Cooper Medical Center.
