Snee Farm, Dunes West earn CCAA league titles

Snee Farm reclaimed its spot atop the Red League while Dunes West clinched the White League in the final week of the 2014 CCAA dual meet season.

Needing just a win to hold off four-time defending Red League champion Coosaw Creek in the season standings, Snee Farm powered past Shadowmoss, 371-165, Thursday at home.

Coosaw wrapped up second with a 288-249 win over Daniel Island in North Charleston, and Hobcaw downed Parkshore, 353-184 at home.

Dunes West captured its second White League title in three years Thursday with a 272-265 win over Newington in Mount Pleasant. Dunes West finishes it White League schedule 6-0 with four wins by 42 points or less.

Sha-Mel-Lon cruised past Brickyard, 359-177, to pull into a tie with Crowfield for second in the White League. Sha-Mel-Lon defeated Crowfield, 291-244, June 19 at home. James Island picked up its first win of the season, 325-206, over Longpoint.

In the Blue League, Country Club of Charleston defeated Fort Johnson, 304.5-223.5, in James Island while Ashborough won at Legend Oaks, 339-198.

The CCAA championship city meet is July 18-20 at Crowfield Golf and Country Club in Goose Creek.
