The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series continues at James Island County Park. Enjoy the good vibes at the series' next concert on Friday, July 11. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and music by Da'Gullah Rootz begins at 8:30 p.m.
Charleston-based Da' Gullah Rootz have more than a 10-year history of creating eclectic and diverse melodies intermingling a variety of reggae styles, including Ska and Dancehall, with a unique Gullah and Geechee style. The band is a regular at James Island County Park's Summer Concert Series.
For the perfect cool ending to a hot summer week, bring your chair or blanket, kick back and relax to an awesome outdoor reggae concert in the beautiful setting of James Island County Park. All ages are invited.
Hungry concert-goers can purchase Caribbean-style dishes and festival foods on site at the event. Crafters and other vendors will be displaying local handmade crafts and souvenirs available for purchase. Socialized dogs on a leash are welcome.
Additional reggae concerts will take place on Fridays throughout the summer at James Island County Park. The remaining 2014 Reggae Nights Summer Concert is Aug. 1 with Mystic Vibrations.
Tickets must be purchased at the gate. Tickets are $8 for adults (13 and up); children 12 and under are free. Current Gold Pass holders are also admitted free.
