Charleston ASAC award scholarships

On June 23, the Charleston Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association of the Carolinas (ASAC) held their annual awards banquet. The chapter awarded scholarships to three college students: Allyson Austin, Robert Ferira and Jasmine Price.

ADC Engineering Inc. was recognized as Architect/Engineer of the Year, with Davis and Floyd and Soil Consultants, Inc. as runners up. General Contractor of the Year was NBM Construction, with Trident Construction and MB Kahn as runners up.

This year, the chapter recognized Gulf Stream Construction with the Community Service Award. Marty Swain, of Parker Marine Contracting, was recognized as ASAC Charleston Member of the Year. New officers were also appointed for the coming year: Sarah Windham was named president; Chris Cook, first vice president; John Burbage, second vice president; and Rob Jenkins, secretary.
