Dunes West tops Sha-Mel-Lon for White League lead

Dunes West separated itself as the lone undefeated team in the CCAA White League with a home win over Sha-Mel-Lon Thursday in Mount Pleasant.

Dunes West defeated Sha-Mel-Lon, 289-247, to move into first place with just three dual meets remaining.

Crowfield topped Longpoint, 311-226, while Brickyard outlasted Newington, 274-263. Crowfield holds a half-meet lead for third in the White League above Newington and Brickyard, who are now tied for fourth.

Coosaw Creek moved into sole possession of second place in the Red League with a 352-185 win over Hobcaw. Northbridge Terrace started the season 3-0 but now sits third after dropping its second meet in a week, a 345-192 loss at Shadowmoss in the West Ashley championship for the Alberto Wiener trophy.

Rain shortened Daniel Island's 186-101 win over Parkshore. The Flying Fish trail Northbridge by a half-meet for third in the Red League.

Pine Forest leads 183-158, looking to fend off the defending champions and avoid its first loss of the season. Country Club of Charleston holds on to second place in the Blue League with a 300-118 win at Summerville.

Fort Johnson defeated I'On, 314-207. Results and standings are as of July 1.
