  • Saturday, July 12, 2014

A family called police after realizing several items had been allegedly stolen from their home, but other valuables had not been touched. According to the report, one man said he left to run errands while another resident took a nap for several hours.

The owners of the house returned home on this day to find that the items were missing, the report said.

According to the report, those items just happened to be 200 cigars valued at $5 each, two cigar humidors, one leather suitcase valued at $1,000 and three bottles of apple cider vodka valued at $100.

The family members said they had left the door unlocked and mentioned that lots of construction workers had been in the area.

According to the report, they also found a pair of shoes outside the door that did not belong to anyone in the home.

The shoes were taken into evidence.
