A woman was at a local bar a struck up a conversation with a woman, who over the course of the evening became overly friendly. According to the report, the woman told the new friend where she lived, which would come in handy when she realized her purse was missing.
The victim called police who went to the bar and got a copy of the overly friendly womanís receipt, the report said.
They cross-referenced the womanís address, then pinged the phone that was in the stolen purse, and what do you know, it came back as being located at the overly friendly womanís address.
Officers went to the suspectís home and asked her if she accidently removed a phone from the bar. She said she didnít think so and said she would check.
She came back to the door and gave officers her purse to check.
Inside the womanís purse was the victimís purse and phone, the report said.
Nothing was stolen, so the victim did not press charges but asked for a trespass notice since the suspect had access to her address from the contents of the purse.
In return, the suspect said she wanted the victim placed on trespass notice from her home as well.
The suspect was extremely intoxicated, the report said, and officers believed the purse was taken accidently. The suspect was very apologetic about the situation and cooperative, according to the report.
