A loss prevention officer watched a customer enter the store to return a shirt, and while waiting, the suspect spied a bottle of perfurme that she liked. According to a police report, she liked it so much she stuffed it in her purse along with a cute pair of earrings.
The loss prevention officer confronted the woman and took her to his office to wait for police to arrive, the report said.
The officers asked her about the incident and she admitted to taking the items and she said there is no point denying it when you get caught. According to the report, she said she took it because she wanted to smell good.
The report also stated that the manager did not want to press charges since the suspect was cooperative.
She was placed on trespass notice and the items were returned to the store without incident.
