A Gift of Love works to better the lives of children in India. PROVIDED

A Gift of Love International (AGOL) will be holding a “FUNdraiser” on Friday, July 25 from 6-10 p.m. at Planter's Pointe Clubhouse, 2801 Planters Pointe Blvd., Mount Pleasant.

Motivated by the devastating flooding of the Ganga River in Patna, Bihar, AGOL makes efforts to bring hope and love back to those stricken from the destruction and loss of life. AGOL received advice from the local community in India and other organizations to help bring about a brighter future through education and other resources. AGOL is now partnered with a few educational centers, an orphanage and training locations offering cultural dance, music and taekwondo self-defense classes.

Donations will not only help fulfill the immediate needs that these precious children have, but will help better their chances of making it in the future as they are educated. No one in the corporation at AGOL gets paid for what they do. The money goes directly to meet the needs of these children including their food, clothing, medical needs, as well as their education.
