The Junior League of Charleston, Inc. (JLC) is pleased to announce the installation of its new president, Julie Daniels, and the 2014-15 board of directors. The JLC has now entered its 91st year as one of Charleston's premier women volunteer organizations, serving the tri-county community by collaborating with fellow nonprofits to combat hunger and homelessness.
Daniels has been a member of the league for 20 years and works full time as an independent contractor with an international meeting planning company. She is excited to lead this group of dedicated volunteers toward continued success in fulfilling the mission of the organization.
“I am incredibly proud to be a part of an organization with such a deep appreciation of our mission: promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers,” said Daniels. “As a membership organization, we do an excellent job listening to the needs of the community. By staying true to our mission, the Junior League of Charleston will continue to contribute in a lasting and impactful way in Charleston.”
JLC has an exciting year in store and is thrilled to be partnering with all of their community partners this year. Members will serve the community in numerous projects and fundraising events.
