Normally open for group bookings, on Fridays this summer, James Island County Park's High Ropes Challenge Course is now open to the general public. Individuals and small groups are invited to come experience the thrill and challenge of this dynamic structure without having to make a reservation on Fridays through Aug. 15.
This exciting high course features eight mentally and physically challenging elements and two 230-foot-long exit ziplines, all within James Island County Park. Teams of three to six participants travel together through the course, engaging in exhilarating challenges, fun team-building and shared learning experiences, ranging from walking across a cable to climbing a net and flying down a zipline.
Open days at the Challenge Course will take place every Friday (weather permitting) now through Aug. 15 from 3-7 p.m. Fees are just $14 per person ($12 discount available for Charleston County residents). The Challenge Course is open for ages 10 and up, but registered and paid chaperones must be on site for ages 17 and under. Registration for experiencing the course is available on site.
