Two days into the 2014 Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association (CCAA) City Meet and Snee Farm seems poised to reclaim its championship throne.

Snee Farm closed Saturday with a 411.5-point lead over Northbridge Terrace for first place. Daniel Island jumped four slots into the No. 3 slot, while defending champion Coosaw Creek remains fourth overall.

After its 11-12 year-olds built a 115.5-point lead Friday, Snee Farm's 7-8 year-olds nearly doubled the lead through the first session of day two Saturday.

Snee Farm turned in 14 top-five finishes out of 11 events in the 7-8 division with especially strong showings from its girl swimmers.

Avery Frece won the girls 25-yard freestyle (15.96) and took second in the butterfly. Sadie Whelan won the girls breaststroke (21.22) and Snee Farm won both the boys and girls 100-yard freestyle relay. Snee Farm also earned the girls 7-8 overall championship.

Daniel Island's Zoe Dewitt won the girls 8U butterfly (16.58) and finished second in the backstroke (20.76). Owen Reich won the boys 8U breaststroke (22.01).

Snee Farm extended its lead by nearly 200 points with five first-place finishes by its 9-10 division in the second session.

Sophie Frece won the girls 9-10 50-yard butterfly (32.47), backstroke (33.79) and 100-yard individual medley (1:14.45) for Snee Farm. Dunes West's William Slowey won the boys 9-10 backstroke (36.77), breaststroke (38.16) and individual medley (1:16.33). Frece and Slowey are the first swimmers in City Meet history to earn first-place finishes in three separate events.

Snee Farm claimed first in the 9-10 200-yard mixed medley (2:21.47) and girls freestyle relay (2:07.95), while earning the girls 9-10 overall championship.

Dunes West's Kendall Chunn won the girls 9-10 breaststroke (39.06) and took second in the backstroke (34.63), and Anna Bowden won the girls 9-10 freestyle (30.16).

Brickyard placed first in the boys 9-10 freestyle relay (2:12.62).

CCAA City Meet closes Sunday with the 13-14 division beginning at 2 p.m. and 15-18 at 3:40 p.m.
