As business leaders and involved citizens in the Charleston County area, Allstate exclusive agency owners have been designated Allstate Premier Agencies for 2014.
The Allstate Premier Agency designation is bestowed on less than 48 percent of Allstate’s nearly 10,000 agency owners across the country. This designation is being presented to Allstate agency owners Brian Clyburn, Paul Langston, Scott M. Labarowski, Stephen D. Peper, Wally Burbage, Joey Tomlinson, Kevin R. Shealy, Patrick M. Brown for outstanding business performance and commitment to putting customers at the center of the agency’s work.
McNair recognized as ‘Leading Firm’
For the 10th consecutive year, McNair Law Firm has been ranked a “Leading Firm” in the 2014 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Eight of the firm’s attorneys earned recognition as “Leaders in Their Field.”
McNair received rankings across key practice areas, including recognition in North and South Carolina for work in the areas of litigation: general commercial and real estate. The firm was also ranked for its work in corporate/M and A: banking and finance.
Carolina One Real Estate
Heather Parker Pound, a former multimedia account executive with the Post and Courier for the past 11 years, has been hired as the new marketing and events coordinator by the New Homes Division of Carolina One Real Estate.
A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Pound graduated from the College of Charleston in 1999 with a BA in English. A 20-year resident of Charleston, Pound is married with two children and resides on James Island.
At Carolina One New Homes, Pound will be responsible for developing marketing strategies for the division’s new homes communities scattered throughout the Metro Charleston area.
Christopher D. (Chris) Haviland has been selected to replace Dave Sansom as manager of Carolina One Real Estate’s Coleman Boulevard office in Mount Pleasant. Sansom has moved to Carolina One’s Services Center in North Charleston and will assume the duties of COO and CFO.
Haviland was the general manager of Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms from 1997 to 2004 and then became the operations manager for the Ginn Company, a regional real estate and resort company.
In 2010, Haviland moved to Carolina One to work in the company’s Isle of Palms office. Prior to becoming the Coleman Boulevard office manager, Haviland was a perennial real estate Top Producer with Carolina One.
Bob Welsh joins Daniel Island Real Estate team
California native and Daniel Island resident Bob Welsh is the newest member of the sales team at Daniel Island Real Estate, the market leader for residential real estate sales on Daniel Island. Welsh is partnering with Sally Castengera, a consistent top producer and 18-year veteran of Daniel Island Real Estate, to sell property in the award-winning island town community. A retired commercial airline pilot who has also worked in the real estate development and investment fields, he brings experience and – from a resident’s perspective – intimate knowledge of Daniel Island’s residential real estate opportunities.
Coastal Pediatric Associates achieves National Certification
Coastal Pediatric Associates (CPA) has been designated a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Recognized for providing the highest level of care in the three-tiered quality grading system, Coastal Pediatric Associates is the only pediatric practice in the South Carolina Lowcountry to receive this designation.
ADHD clinic opens in Mount Pleasant
Focus-MD, a medical practice devoted to the care of patients with ADHD and related disorders is now open in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
