A woman called police to say she was robbed in the parking lot of a local apartment complex one evening. She said she was there to visit a friend, and after they left the pool, she walked to her car which was parked near some large bushes. According to the report, she had her iPod in her hand and her earbuds in her ears when a person on a bike allegedly came up behind her and snatched the iPod and headphones out of her ears.
According to the report, she ran to her car and the suspect fled the scene.
She told the officer it was very dark and that the suspect appeared to be between 13 and 15 years old, wearing dark clothing. She said she ran to the nearby gym since it was a secure area and began calling a cop friend of hers. According to the report, once it appeared safe to return to her car, she started walking in that direction, but the suspect returned and confronted her. He allegedly said, “What else you got?”
At that point, the victim got into her car and left. According to the report, she did not see the suspect with a weapon.
The responding officer told the victim to try and locate the original packaging and serial number for the investigation.
