For the second consecutive year, College of Charleston men's basketball will open the season against the defending NCAA national champion.

The Cougars will face the Connecticut Huskies Nov. 20 in the opener to the eighth annual Puerto Rico Tip-Off in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tipoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

Charleston opened last season against 2012 defending champion Louisville. This year's three-day tournament will also feature Texas A&M, Dayton, New Mexico, Boston College, George Mason and West Virginia. The Puerto Rico Tip-Off will be broadcast live on ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3 with the championship and runner-up games showcased on ESPN2.
