  • Wednesday, August 6, 2014

In partnership with MUSC Health, the American Lung Association in South Carolina has added another lung disease support group to the Charleston area. Known as Better Breathers Clubs, the support groups are free and open to anyone suffering from a chronic lung disease and their family, friends and caretakers.

The newest Better Breathers Club will reconvene Aug. 20 at the MUSC Health Building located at 4480 Leeds Place West, North Charleston, South Carolina. Special guest Dr. Charlie Strange will present on treatments for COPD. Meetings will be held every third Wednesday of the month from 6-7 p.m.

During the meetings, group members will have the opportunity to connect with lung disease patients and their families and learn about their conditions from health care professionals in a supportive environment.
