Wild Blue Ropes – Charleston's locally owned high-climbing challenge course – will host a Back to School Bash benefiting Pattison's Academy on Sunday, Aug. 24 from noon to 6 p.m. The mission of Pattison's Academy is to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities through education and rehabilitation programs. The Back to School Bash will feature live music, special rate climbs, food truck vendors and great fun for all ages.
Headlining the “Bash” are two of the Lowcountry's favorite bands: Gaslight Street and Dead 27's. Local food and beverage vendors include Roti Rolls, Zombie Bob's Pizza, Charleston Festival Foods, Lee's Coconuts and Southern Eagle Distributors. A drawing will be held for a “Best of the Lowcountry” basket, with an amazing array of products and services straight from Charleston's finest.
Advance purchase tickets are $10 to attend the event or $30 to attend and climb. There will be four different climbing periods offered: 10 a.m. (pre-event climb), noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets can be ordered online at www.wildblueropes.com, by phone at 843-502-4066, or on-site at the course. Reservations are strongly encouraged to ensure all those wishing to climb can be accommodated. A percentage of net proceeds will benefit Pattison's Academy.
