Mini-Wavefest kicks off Charleston Wavefest 2015, benefits Lowcountry AIDS Services

Vive Le Rock Productions will announce the date and location for Charleston Wavefest 2015 with a Mini-Wavefest from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Barn Jam at Awendaw Green, 4853 U.S. 17 North. The event will also be a benefit for Lowcountry AIDS Services.

Folk singer Avi Jacob will perform at 6 p.m. with Jordan Igoe taking the stage at 7 p.m. with her alternative country sound. Pierce Edens and The Dirty Work, a folk band from Asheville, perform at 8:30 p.m. Donít miss the intermission performance by the old-school puppetry of Mr. Bonetangles by Will Scutze.

Guests can bring their own beverages and food will be available. This event is for all ages and even leashed pets are welcome. Cost is a $10 donation at the door. Charleston Wavefest is in partnership with and is a benefit for Lowcountry AIDS Services, a nonprofit organization serving men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.
