For Hootie and the Blowfish, there's no place like home.

The Grammy-winning hometown favorites returned to Charleston last weekend for the wildly popular 12th annual Homegrown concert series.

Twenty years after the release of platinum-selling “Cracked Rear View,” the band headlined two nights of sold-out shows at Family Circle Stadium on Daniel Island along with guest acts Corey Smith, Drivin' N Cryin' and Edwin McCain.

The weekend serves as the feature event of the Hootie and the Blowfish Foundation, the band's private nonprofit organization designed to help South Carolina schools and music programs.

Saturday before the show, band members Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan, Jim Sonefeld and Dean Felber hosted the Homegrown Roundup at Burke High School, an initiative designed to provide school supplies and health exams for Lowcountry children.
