Update: Stabbing at Towne Centre

Update: According to new reports, Dennis Elvin Cervantes-Pavon is wanted for murder in the fatal stabbing of a coworker with a sharp-edged object at a construction site at Belk department store in Towne Centre in Mount Pleasant earlier this evening. According to police, the suspect is Hispanic, 33 years of age, with black hair and brown eyes. He is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, and weighs 150-180 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a red and white striped shirt, blue jeans, and boots. If anyone has any information on the suspect's whereabouts, please contact 911 immediately.

Update: According to reports, the stabbing occurred inside the Belk expansion between two Hispanic workers belonging to a work crew out of Virginia, currently residing in a North Charleston hotel.

Authorities know the identity of the suspect who is believed to be hiding in the woods behind Lowe's near Hungryneck Boulevard, according to reports. A perimeter has been set and a K9 unit have the suspect's scent, reports say.

A report sent to Town Council confirmed by Mayor Page states that a stabbing has taken place in front of Belk at Towne Centre in Mount Pleasant. According to the report, the victim is now deceased. Police are in pursuit of the suspect, the report said. This is all the information that is available at this time.
