Conn. sailor’s body recovered in SC after 8 months

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The body of a Connecticut sailor who had been missing since New Year’s Eve has been found at a marina in South Carolina.

The Charleston County Coroner’s office identified a body found on Friday beneath a boat at the Charleston City Marina as 63-year-old Edward Brennan of Essex, Connecticut.

Authorities say that Brennan had been living aboard his boat at the marina and disappeared the afternoon of New Year’s Eve.

The cause of death hasn’t been determined.
