Dine out at Sweet CeCe’s to help end childhood hunger

  • Tuesday, August 19, 2014

In America, 1 in 5 children struggle with hunger. This September, Sweet CeCe's is joining thousands of restaurants nationwide to support Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign by raising funds in Charleston, South Carolina. During the entire month of September, customers donating just $2 (or more) to No Kid Hungry receive either a free Sweet-Cup or Waffle Cone (filled with as much frozen yogurt and toppings as they want) along with their purchase of any smoothie or juice.

“Child hunger is everyone's responsibility. It is the responsibility of our generation to leave the world better for future generations. No Kid Hungry is the answer to our question of how do we help. My entire team is honored to be an important part of this year's campaign” says Ken Calabro Jr., area manager for Sweet CeCe's Frozen Yogurt and Juice Bar.

In 2013, nearly 9,000 restaurants raised $7.5 million for the No Kid Hungry campaign. No Kid Hungry funds are used to raise awareness about child hunger in the U.S., create public-private partnerships that align kids with the resources they need, support nutrition programs like School Breakfast and Summer Meals, and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy meals with limited resources.
