Local cheerleaders win big

The middle school cheerleaders at Christ Our King – Stella Maris School PROVIDED

The middle school cheerleaders at Christ Our King – Stella Maris School recently attended a Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) home camp. At camp, they worked hard, learning cheers, chants, dances and stunts. UCA awarded the team a Superior trophy, qualifying them to perform at the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

In addition, several cheerleaders were chosen as All-Americans. This prestigious award includes an invitation to perform at the Disney World Thanksgiving Day Parade. Those chosen as All-Americans are: Brynn Burke, Grace Gurney, Caroline Killgo, Kaitlyn Jackowski, Madeline Mazur, Ellie Potts and Caroline Sumner.
