Taylor is the former vice president of global business development for the three-county Charleston Regional Development Alliance. His responsibilities there included global marketing of Dorchester, Charleston, and Berkeley Counties, and facilitating the relocation and expansion of companies in the region. Prior to that, he served at the South Carolina Department of Commerce, recruiting new businesses and expanding existing businesses in the state. In addition to working with economic development professionals and local leaders in all 46 South Carolina counties, Taylor traveled to Japan, Canada, Dubai, United Kingdom, France and Germany to carry the South Carolina message.
This summer, after over 35 years of serving the Mount Pleasant community, Pierce Orthodontics has brought on a new orthodontist, Dr. Katie Bullwinkel. Dr. Katie graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed an orthodontic residency in Chicago, Illinois. S.C. Bar Young Lawyers Division
The South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) has named four President’s Award recipients from Charleston. The awards recognize YLD members who exemplify dedication to public service and YLD initiatives. Winners are:

Ryan Neville of Wills, Massalon and Allen, LLC served on the YLD Bar Convention Committee.

Patrick Wooten of Nelson, Mullins, Riley and Scarborough, LLP served as circuit representative, during which time he encouraged participation from YLD members in circuit events and worked closely with local and county bar associations to solicit volunteers and spread awareness of various YLD initiatives. The President’s Awards are given annually to YLD volunteers who have dedicated their efforts and continuously served the division for a number of years.
