  • Friday, August 22, 2014

East Cooper Medical Center (ECMC) will host a free maternity event on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Whether you are trying to conceive, getting ready to deliver your first child or are an experienced mom expecting your fourth child, this event has something to offer. The event is free, kid-friendly and will take place at the hospital.

Take this opportunity to meet labor and delivery nurses, nursery nurses, lactation consultants, fertility specialists, and pediatricians, as well as the OB/GYN providers who deliver at East Cooper Medical Center. Find out what to expect during your hospital stay before your big day arrives. Tour maternity suites and learn more about ECMC's Level II neonatal nursery. East Cooper offers the only Level II nursery in Mount Pleasant.

While gathering helpful information, you can also shop local vendors that are tailored to moms-to-be and new moms. Babies ‘R' Us will be offering on-site baby registrations. They will help with selecting the top baby items you'll need once your bundle of joy arrives. Other local vendors include Shuga Bebe, Bella Baby Photography and Southern Bling.

Door prizes will be given away throughout the event. Refreshments and kids' activities will also be provided. Wine and Design of Mount Pleasant will be hosting a free “Art Buzz Kids” project that kids won't want to miss.

To register, please call 843-884-7031 or visit www.eastcoopermedctr.com and click “Find an Event.” This event will take place in the main lobby of East Cooper Medical Center located at 2000 Hospital Drive in Mount Pleasant.
