Steelers fan cruise sails Sept. 5

The third annual Pittsburgh Steelers fan cruise sets sail Sept. 5 in Charleston Harbor.

The Palmetto Breeze catamaran leaves Shem Creek at 5:30 p.m. for a two-hour sunset cruise with 100 members of the black-and-gold faithful to raise money for the Charleston Children’s Charity (CCC) and usher in a new season of Steelers football.

“Break out your black and gold and have a fun time for a good cause,” cruise organizer Ron Manz said.

Tickets are $35 and $15 for children 12 and under. Water, soda and snacks will be provided. Fans are also encouraged to bring their own beverages.

This year’s cruise features a raffle with proceeds being donated to the CCC.
