Dutch Fork maintained its position atop Class AAAA in the South Carolina Prep Football Media Poll headed into Week 1 of the regular season.

Byrnes slid up one position from last week’s poll to No. 2 with a 30-22 win at Northwestern Week Zero. Summerville jumped two spots to No. 5 with an impressive 30-9 win at Providence (North Carolina). Fort Dorchester broke into the top 10 after winning at South Florence, 34-10, last week.

Abbeville went from unranked to No. 5 in the Class AA poll with a 21-0 shutout at Silver Bluff. Fairfield Central dropped from No. 5 to No. 9 after suffering a 29-28 loss at Brookland-Cayce.

Wando and Bishop England both remain unranked this week as neither team has played a regular-season game yet. Bishop England did receive top 10 votes this week after not receiving any last week.
