On Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Employer Support of Guard and Reserves (ESGR) presented Charleston County Sheriff Al Cannon the organization’s Patriot Award. The award is intended to recognize the employee’s supervisor or agency head that support employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve Military units. Recipients are nominated by members of a National Guard or Reserve unit who are employed by the entity, to ESGR who then selects recipients with concurrence of the United States Department of Defense. The award has been presented across the United States. A statement of support for Guards and Reserve will also be presented. This letter recognizes the agencies support for Guard and Reserve members.
