Parker White, Ross Cary, Garrett Ralston, Eric Vanderhorst and Stephen Schroyer were named Wando's Players for the Week for the Warriors' Week 1 win over White Knoll.
Making his first varsity start, White made a 36-yard field goal and converted all five of his extra-point attempts.
Senior nose guard Cary tallied eight tackles, seven solo, two assists and two tackles for a loss.
Senior offensive tackle Ralston graded out at 94 percent with three knockdowns and one pancake block.
Schroyer was named offensive scout team Player of the Week at fullback, while junior linebacker Vanderhorst earned defensive scout team honors.
The group was honored by Wando head coach Jimmy Noonan Thursday at the team's weekly breakfast meeting at Eggs Up Grill in Mount Pleasant. The meeting is open to the public and sponsored by the Mount Pleasant Football Association, along with several other local businesses.
