Cupcake has 'Hearts for Haiti'
Wednesday, February 03, 2010

Cupcake Stores introduce Hearts for Haiti to spread the love in a meaningful way.

You can give more love this Valentine's Day by simply purchasing a sweet and tasty cupcake or heart-shaped cake.

From February 12 - 14, Cupcake stores in Charleston, Mount Pleasant and Columbia will donate 10% of all sales proceeds on sales of our cupcakes and heart cakes to the American Red Cross for relief efforts in Haiti and as well as all purchases of our heart cakes during the month of February.

Hearts for Haiti is timed to coincide with what has traditionally been the store's biggest sales holiday. 'We are excited to show Haiti that our hearts are with them,' said Kristin Kuhlke, owner. 'Our whole staff is excited to work overtime to help our friends recover from their devastating losses.' For a limited time, get the 6 inch red velvet or chocolate Heart Cake or choose from our nine daily flavors.

Cupcake stores are located at 433 King Street downtown Charleston, at 644d Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant's Belle Hall Shopping Center, and at 1213 Lincoln Street in Columbia. Visit freshcupcakes.com for store hours, flavor menus and more.
