Neal and Betsy Cormany of Mt. Pleasant, SC announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Leigh Cormany and Michael Alan Butcher of Mt. Pleasant, son of Louis and Jan Butcher of Michigan City, IN and the late Ms. Maria Boka of Sarasota, FL.Miss Cormany is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Davis of Aiken, SC and the late Honorable Frank H. Cormany of Charleston, SC and the late Ethel B. Cormany of Aiken, SC. Melissa earned a B.S. in Public Health Science from Clemson University and a M.S. in Health and Exercise Science from The Citadel. She is currently pursuing a PhD. in Health Science from Nova Southeastern in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member of Charleston Southern University in their Health Promotion Department and owns her own corporate wellness consulting and health coaching business. Mr. Butcher is the grandson of Sandor and Olga Genersich of Sarasota, FL and the late Louis Butcher and the late Magda Butcher of Michigan City, IN. Mike earned a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University. He is currently a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Boeing Charleston on 787-9 development. The wedding is planned for October 15, 2011 at The Pavilion At Patriot's Point Golf Links, Mt. Pleasant, SC.
